EtherCAT Slave

With the CISWORKS Multi Bus EtherCAT Slave Device, NI PXI systems or real-time desktops can be integrated into existing EtherCAT networks. The PXI system or the real-time desktop then acts as a slave participant in the network. This means communication between the PXI and e.g. B. a Beckhoff test bench control possible in real time. Using the slave device and the NI EtherCAT master, several NI systems can be networked via EtherCAT. Windows configuration software is included to define the process data.



Drivers are available for the following systems:

• NI VeriStand®
• NI Real-Time®
• Windows®

Technical data:

• Update rates up to 4kHz possible
• Up to 256 bytes (RX and TX) of process data possible
• Available as PCIe and PXI/Compact PCI form factor

PROFINET Device

Using the CISWORKS Multi Bus PROFINET Device, NI PXI systems or real-time desktops can be integrated into existing PROFINET networks. The PXI system then acts as a slave participant in the network. This means communication between the PXI and e.g. B. a Siemens PLC possible in real time. Windows configuration software is included to define the process data.

• Update rates up to 1kHz possible
• Up to 64 bytes of process data possible
